George's Presentation Topics
Credit Union Differentiation
Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter recently addressed a financial services audience by saying, "Increasingly financial institutions will have to be able to deliver something distinctive to their customers. Very few financial institutions have the courage to have a distinctive value proposition form their competitors." In other words, all financial institutions pretty much look the same to consumers.
This session will analyze why the consumer financial services landscape is filled with me-too competition, and discuss current research and innovation efforts by the Filene Research Institute and others to encourage and promote differentiation strategies for credit unions and the credit union system. Specific topics to be covered include large-scale credit union collaboration, young adult strategies and blue ocean strategy development.
Filene Research Briefs
Each year the Filene Research Institute published approximately 20 research studies on topics ranging from governance and small credit union issues to consumer behavior and public policy issues. A briefing on any of these research topics can be delivered to your group. Please browse our published research or forthcoming research to determine which topic is right for you.
