Keon Conerly is the Assistant Vice President of Research & Development for the University of Illinois Employees Credit Union in Champaign, Illinois.
With over 20 years of technical and financial experience, Keon brings depth to his new R&D role. He currently leads a R&D department that houses over 30 initiatives and projects for 2014, focused on member and account profitability, ancillary services, and internal consulting.
Through his strong market analysis and development skills, he assisted the credit union through multiple mergers, core conversions, products launches, and branch expansions and remodels. Prior to R&D, he managed and directed the marketing and public relations activities for the credit union. He has held past positions during his tenure in the areas of member service, lending, and operations.
Keon received his MBA at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a BS in Business from Eastern Illinois University.
He serves as a chairman for the Urbana Business Association Policy Committee, as an Advancement Council Member for the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, and volunteers his time mentoring students for the University of Illinois MBA Program.
In his spare time, he loves being outdoors. Keon’s real passion is travel. He has explored Europe, South Africa, South America, and Western Asia.
