Tanya Thompson

Membership Manager at Filene Research Institute

As Membership Manager, Tanya plays an integral role in developing and executing Filene’s engagement strategy by bringing the entirety of Filene’s body of work to our members. By shining light on opportunities that support the goals and strategic initiatives of Filene’s members, Tanya creates change and makes  impact with main street credit union members.

Drawn to the credit union commitment and long-standing heritage of people helping people, Tanya’s career has spanned over 25 years in the credit union industry working at CUNA Mutual Group.  Prior to joining the Filene family, Tanya played key roles in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer areas of the sales organization.

Tanya’s most recent role as national sales specialist focused on account management, sales planning, execution and optimization initiatives working with the nation’s largest credit unions.  Tanya’s strategic focus and collaboration with her credit unions earned her the 2013 President’s Council award in Switzerland.  She acquired her marketing degree from Madison College and also possesses resident and state insurance licenses for Property & Casualty and Life and Health.

While not sharing the Filene love and concierge level service to Filene’s amazing members, Tanya enjoys helping her husband and best friend with their local business and spending any spare time with her two boys - the loves of her life. Her four legged family members Molly and Maggie are heavily motivated by treats and belly rubs and may be, on occasion, referred to as “the knuckleheads” when being mischievous.  Tanya’s Zen is her cabin in Northern Wisconsin where you can find her soaking up fresh air and reading a book on the front porch.
