Amy Hillman

Professor, W. P. Carey Management and Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University

Dr. Amy Hillman is the Rusty Lyon Chair of Strategy, an ASU Foundation Professor and former dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business.

Dr. Hillman is a world-renowned management expert and an active business consultant in the areas of corporate strategy and board composition. Her expertise and publishing interests include activist campaigns, executive and board evaluation, succession and composition, corporate mergers, divestitures, international expansion as well as environmental, societal, and governmental strategies and reporting.

Her research includes over 30 peer-reviewed articles, published in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Administrative Science Quarterly.

In August 2022, Dr. Hillman was named President of the Academy of Management (AOM), the preeminent association for management scholars in the world with over 20,000 members from 115 countries. Dr. Hillman has served or currently serves as a director on two public companies and three private for-profit companies.
