Ep. 22: On Onboardability with Sean and Jimese

Introduction to Onboardability: Onboardability is an automated, new member onboarding platform designed to assist credit unions in maximizing the value of their new accounts. It focuses on enhancing the new member experience while also benefiting the credit union's bottom line.



Member Engagement: The platform aims to engage new members from day one and throughout their first year with the credit union. It utilizes behavioral tracking and tailored communication to enhance the member experience and increase engagement.




Challenges Faced: Credit unions often struggle with inconsistent onboarding practices, lack of ownership in the process, and missed opportunities to engage new members effectively. This inconsistency affects member satisfaction and retention.




Partnership and Research: Onboardability is partnering with Filene to conduct research involving around 30 credit unions. The goal is to understand how the platform impacts new member engagement, satisfaction, and attrition rates over a two-year period.


Focus on Member Journey: The platform’s emphasis is on creating a consistent and engaging journey for new members from the moment they join—it aims to inform, engage, and create financial savvy among members, ultimately fostering long-term loyalty.
