A natural communicator with a passion for connecting people and purpose-driven organizations, Jill Sammons has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the Marketing industry. Her career in financial services began in 1991 when she joined BCU. She is passionate about the convergence of marketing and technology and believes that to “win” as credit union marketers, we must strengthen the human and digital connection. As Vice-President of Marketing & Brand Strategy, Jill is responsible for driving brand value, engagement, well-being, new business growth, and retention strategies for BCU - a nearly $5B, industry-leading credit union that empowers employees and families of America’s best workplaces to discover financial freedom. Jill holds a CUES certificate of Design Thinking & Innovative Leadership from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. When she’s not working, you will likely find Jill dabbling in interior design, fundraising for Camp Kesem, or cheering on one of her 3 kids at the hockey rink.
Physical, mental, and financial health and well-being are inextricably linked. Credit unions have an important role to play in helping members manage the unpredictable costs of health care, especially those experiencing income vulnerability.
