Meet the 2027 FiLab Selections

What will credit unions put to the test next? What would work for your members? Those are the questions representatives from nearly 40 credit unions and system partners helped answer at the FiLab Symposium in Kansas City.

We are pleased to announce FiLab’s 2027 testing menu, shaped by credit union leaders and fintech innovators who came together in Kansas City for FiLab’s 2026 Symposium.

With more than 120 applications to consider, they selected seven solutions to move into FiLab’s 2027 testing cycle.

The lineup takes on challenges that may sound familiar: helping members spot scams, reaching people in their preferred language, making compliance easier to manage, and more.

Now comes the part we’re most excited about: testing together, learning from the results, and sharing what happens with the credit union system.

Here’s what’s on the list:

Crux Analytics
Find your next business-member opportunity. Crux uses AI-assisted research and analytics to help credit unions identify, connect with, and retain high-potential business members.

Eko with AI, powered by Kiro
Bring digital investing to members without building new infrastructure or adding staff. Eko’s Kiro AI assistant offers portfolio insights, financial education, and personalized support.

Falkin
Help members pause before a potential scam becomes a loss. Falkin’s credit union-branded tools provide 24/7 support to check suspicious messages, payments, and investments before money moves.

KeySavvy
Make buying a car from a private seller easier to navigate. KeySavvy supports credit union-financed purchases by managing seller verification, payments, title transfers, lien payoffs, and DMV registration.

Themis
Spend less time chasing compliance tasks. Themis brings workflows, from vendor risk and audits to complaints and marketing reviews, into one place, helping teams see what needs attention.

Traduality
Connect with members in their preferred language. Traduality’s Fire Lingo platform helps credit unions serve non-English-speaking members in branches, contact centers, financial education, and community outreach.

Discovery: Financial Well-Being Response System
What if credit unions could recognize emerging financial stress and offer support sooner? This discovery effort brings credit unions together with behavioral science and technology experts to explore that question. Consumer research and a synthetic-data sandbox will help the group investigate potential signals, ways to respond, and what members actually find helpful.

Now, let’s learn what works

Selecting a solution is just the beginning. Through FiLab, participating credit unions will test together and share results, building evidence to help the broader system decide what to try next.

And there’s more learning on the way. More than 250 employees from 27 organizations participated across seven tests in 2026. We’ll share results and lessons from those tests in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned. There’s a lot to put to the test.

Testing is about learning by doing. It gives credit unions the opportunity to explore emerging technology, answer real business questions, build their experimentation muscle and collaborate with fintechs and peers to understand what has the greatest potential.
