About Royce


Royce Wu is the Research Program Manager at Filene Research Institute, where he assists in the strategic execution of our research agenda by overseeing project timelines, developing innovative frameworks, and nurturing sponsor relationships. He ensures that our Centers of Excellence deliver actionable insights that empower credit unions and drive financial well-being for their members.

Prior to joining Filene, Royce served as Program Manager at the George W. Bush Institute for Leadership Programs and Research and Evaluation, supporting program development, evaluations, and scholar engagement. Royce also brings significant experience from the public sector, having served in the Office of the Governor of Texas and the Texas Workforce Commission, managing research and insights on workforce development, finance, and budget management. Additionally, as an Associate Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Texas Permian Basin, he develops dynamic course materials and mentors students in political science, deepening his commitment to education.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Royce holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Edward’s University in Austin and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Texas Tech University, with an emphasis on comparative and American politics and political methodology. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to sporting events, and participating in marathons and other endurance sports.
